For over 160 years, Singer has been synonymous with sewing. Singer sewing and embroidery machines are designed for ease-of-use, yet packed with powerful. I was a little wary of the singer 4423 because of a couple negative reviews. Fortunatly,I received a good one,and have had nothing but great results since I first put the pedal down. The stitching is smooth and quiet, and the knobs are fairly easy to figure out.The self-threading mechanism is a little tricky, but in the proper light is still useful. The one step button hole feature is very easy to use, and aside from a small knot of thread at the start/stop point;leaves fine results. As a review for the 4411 mentioned;the lighting on the 4423 is terrible. The presser foot is awash in shadows.I remedied this by attaching an aftermarket flexi-neck sewing light with industrial-strength Velcro, to the side. Holy crap this is the most fun machine ever. Admittedly, I have only used it for embroidery. Who has time to mend pants when there are so many random things that are just screaming for a logo or design to be sewn on them. I went online and downloaded some free embroidery designs. (That is so fun and addictive. And really easy to do because you just USB the machine to your computer). Blackmagic multiview software download. The first one was a one-color design so I could get the hang of it. Then I went to a multi-color design. It was so simple and easy. Though, I recommend watching a few videos on you tube. That is more helpful than the materials that they provide. Note, most recommend that you not change the bobbin color and just leave it with white. I am too OCD to. I love this machine!!! I kept putting off trying this out because I have a new baby in the house and I knew I would need to devote more time to trying this out than I could really give it at the time so it sat in its box until after the holidays. I had a plan to use this machine for quite some time and I finally decided it was now or never. Late at night, while the baby was fast asleep, I went ahead and read the manual for the Pro Finish. The next night, I went ahead and plugged it in and gave it a try with a piece of scrap material. I was so excited when I was able to say I finally edged my first piece. The machine came pre threaded which was incredibly helpful. Knowing which thread. I have never owned, nor to my recollection, even used a sewing machine before, so I can offer no real comparison for the SINGER 1304. But being just an ordinary dude with basic needs, this machine very much fulfills its purpose. I had long been putting off making curtains for my bedroom's french doors, as the thought of laboring with a needle and thread, along with yards and yards of fabric, seemed far too tedious. ![]() Sathya sai baba bhajans download. My wife even recoiled at the thought. Suddenly a light appeared, Amazon opened its arms, and bestowed upon us the SINGER 1304. The first thing I noticed was the feel of the machine, which is very solid. Nissan consult software download. Stands up to any real power tool in terms of durability and seems capable of long-term use with minimal maintenance. The Quick Start guide (yes, I read instructions) was very handy with the initial setup. This overlock foot is the next best thing if you do not have a serger to professionally finish your raw edges. I had trouble finishing the edges of my fabric with a zig zag stitch and a regular foot because I could never get the stitch precisely over the edge of the fabric, leading to bunching and wobbly looking stitching. The overlock foot solves all of those problems, however, with it's handy guide that allows me to get my fabric in exactly the right spot. I've used it with several of the built-in overedge stitches on my machine--what a difference! ![]() Definitely worth the money for this specialized little foot. I grew up learning to sew on my grandmother's & mom's Kenmore.
